ANCIENT HISTORY
Before the official launch in April 1996 the Ghanaian Newsrunner was already active on the Internet for almost
one year. We were the first publication to be connected to the Internet in Ghana. Actually our correspondent was
among the first 10 subscribers of NCS, Ghana's pioneer Internet provider. The Ghanaian Newsrunner was also the
first publication for Ghanaians to publish a site on the WWW. The links below originate from these pioneer days:
